The Rapture is Real!Printable Copy

1 Thessalonians 4: 16-18

16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18Therefore encourage each other with these words.

During this time of the year, what we call Easter, we have celebrated the resurrection of the Christ.  This something of horror and beauty.  The horror of having my sins, our sins, poured on one man.  His torture and His pain, He was punished for what I(we) have done wrong, for what I(we) are doing wrong, and for what I(we) will do wrong!  Then when all was thought lost, 3 days and 3 nights later, He Is Risen!

Yet the World still does not believe this.  What are we doing to teach others.  I(we) are failing to tell others, I (we) are failing to be and example for Christ.  I caught myself cursing someone who cut in front of me at the grocery store, because she had a shopping cart while I had only 3 items.  I was not much of a witness for Christ, as this lady hung her head while I grumbled in line.  In the afterthought, she was in a hurry and was just trying to get home like I was.  Then was too embarrassed to let me go first.

I did not get this right away, and as always God has a way of getting my attention.  As I pulled into traffic, I was still grumbling about having to wait a whole extra 10 minutes to get through the grocery line.  I cut someone off, and as they honked they shook their fists and fingers at me while shouting words that I could not hear but easily figured out were not so friendly.  They then cut in front of me.  Then I saw on their bumper sticker these words, "Jesus Saves!"  That is when it hit home, and I understood how that lady at the grocery store felt.

She would not of saw me as a Christian, or approachable.  I did not know that those who I had cut off were Christians either, until I saw their bumper sticker.  What if in her hurry I gave her a friendly face and smiled, I could of witnessed for Christ and done what I was meant to do.  Instead I taught her something false, I mislead her!

As Easter came and went I witnessed a lot of others, who call themselves Christians only to mislead many.  Some believe the lie that rapture is not coming.  Some have said rapture was to of come in September of 2009, only to change it to March of 2010 after it did not happen in September, now March.  How much glory to Christ, did they bring when their so called prophecies were false?

I have checked their websites and see that they have good intentions.  However they are caught in the lie, that the devil so cleverly intertwined on their life.  If God is not telling his Son, when it is to happen, then He sure isn't going to tell them.  For them to believe they know what Christ chooses not to know, would say to the world that they believe they are above Christ.  NO ONE KNOWS but God!  To say different is a lie.

23At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it.

The Day and Hour Unknown

36"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Matthew 24:36 (New International Version)

Again they had good intentions with the website, but they mislead many!  I had good intentions, but mislead that lady at the grocery store!  The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I repent in dust and ashes.  And will work hard to be a witness for Christ, to be a prophet for Christ!

My challenge is....   Will YOU?
