The 12 Laws of Marriage

Proverbs 18:22
New International Version(NIV)

²² He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the LORD.
 

1) Proverbs 18:22 - Finding a wife is good and is blessed by the Lord

2) Ephesians 5:22 - Wives submit to your Husbands

3) Hebrews 13:4 - Marriage should be honored by all

4) Genesis 2:24 - Man and Woman will become one flesh

5) Ephesians 5:33 - Women respect your husbands

6) Genesis 2:23 - Husbands your wife is a part of you

7) Amos 3:3 - To walk together both must be in agreement

8) 1 Peter 3:7 - Husbands treat your wives with respect

9) Luke 1:41-45 - Women, blessed is the Baby in your womb

10) Titus 2:3-5 - Older women, train the younger women to love their husbands and children

11) Ephesians 5:25 - Husbands love your wives as Christ loves the Church

12) Mark 10:9 - What God has joined together, let man not separate

All of us who are getting married, are married, or have been thinking of marriage, are guilty(including myself) of forgetting God's say on marriage.  These laws remind us that marriage is a blessed unity that comes from God.  We all must work to preserve this blessed union as it pleases God.  Marriage fails even when we forget one of these laws.  Amen and Amen
